Kyle S. Glowacky- Director Extraordinaire
The artist behind “IOKA,” is a Brentwood, NH resident who currently studies film at Emerson College in Boston, MA. Glowacky has also studied at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and the Film and TV school Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. He is interested in approaching film as an art-form and exploring what the medium can do. Glowacky’s love for the medium of painting has lead him to rethink his outlook on the medium of film. His love of hiking and traveling has also impacted the way he views film as an exploration. Glowacky once worked at the Ioka Theater, starting out behind the concessions counter and working his way up to becoming a projectionist; a job he had dreamed about as a young kid. His job at the theater led him to see film in a whole new light, a film is acetate (a type of plastic) which is projected with light upon a screen. This is the broad science of film for which Glowacky approaches the art form. Glowacky thinks of film as a projection of light instead of seeing it as a narrative.

LJ Frezza- Assistant Editor
LJ Frezza is a film and video maker from Jacksonville, FL. One of his favorite things to do is to go to his local library, check out a backpack full of VHS tapes, and then go home and re-edit them into found footage videos. He buys most of his possessions from eBay and thrift stores and would buy his food secondhand if he could. He believes in reusing and repurposing what’s available, instead of wasting time and resources making brand new things. For more information and examples see LJ’s website at Emerson Pages.
